Christian and Catholic Faiths vs. The Da Vinci Code Book & Movie
Topic: AllpromSeason Evangelical Christians and Catholics find a common ground. They are united against the fallacies published in Dan Brown's bestselling book, The Da Vinci Code. Now the movie adapted from the book is coming up, they are finding more reasons to mount a multimedia battle involving a web site, www.jesusdecoded.com, a booklet and documentary to be broadcast on NBC. In the meantime, Dan Brown is being grilled in a British court for allegedly lifting portions from the previously published book, The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail, for his book. Now in court, he is saying that the research for his book was conducted by his wife. He even gave more info about his upbringing and his love for codes and numbers. He also talked about his father who was a mathematician, fond with numbers. It will be interesting to have read the book before watching the movie. At the same time, many writers are finding mistakes in The Da Vinci Code. They are publishing books to help The Code readers make sense and reaffirm their faith.

Topic: PromdressesWeb
Oscar Awards Ceremony Colors Will Influence Prom & Quincenera Gowns and Dresses Selection A Colorful Night to Remember: Beautiful dresses, gowns, great people, lots of after Oscar Parties and superb Foods At the 78th annual ceremony, actresses wore a lot of dress styles, hues and creations by various designers. Colors dominated the show. Black, pink, blue, canary yellow, vibrant blue and glowing green, eggplant colors were on display. Red carpet stars displayed their fashion taste, money-making power and rubbed shoulder with the best dressed of Hollywood. Actresses came to enjoy a good time and make an impression on the watching audience and fans who have supported their movie-making. A lot of dresses caused a lot of talk around the water cooler and various other milieus. Actresses know that they have to come out to please their fans. It is a matter seeing others and be seen. Michelle Williams, wearing a canary yellow gown with a flattering ruffled V-neckline, was seen conversing with Amy Adams who was donned in a chocolate gown with pockets, a creation by Carolina Herrera. For sure, Williams pulled off this canary yellow shade. She wore it with elegance. Salma Hayek shined in a great blue gown. For sure, everyone has been talking about Jennifer Lopez’s green gown. As for Jessica Alba, she shined in a gold Versace dress. Visit PromQuinceanera Blogger to read the rest of the story.

2006 Oscar Award Fashion: Superb Dresses & Gowns
Topic: SweetSixteenDresses 2006 Oscar Awards Fashion is Inspiration for Superb Prom & Quincenera Knock-off Dresses and Gowns Who wore what at this year’s Oscar Award Ceremony? The ladies of Hollywood stole the show with their flowing dresses and gowns. Also, the designers had a great presentation with the stars who donned their creations. Among them, we can say that Vera Wang had a great show. Keira Knightley donned a great wine-colored, one-shoulder gown designed by Vera Wang. It must be noted that white or off-white colors were worn for the most part tonight. Knightley complemented this beautiful gown with a spectacular necklace with emeralds, rubies and diamonds that come from the Bulgari archives. She also wore gold sandals with multiple ankle straps designed by Jimmy Choo. Miss Knightley who is 20 years old turned heads on the red carpet. Her makeup artist used steel and charcoal chanel eye colors on her face. Kudos to Kate Lee who tried to find the right tone to apply to her pigmentation. With her hair swept in a 1930s style, Michelle Williams wore a marigold yellow chiffon gown with tulle pleats that surround the V neck allowing her to display a 19th-century diamond fringe necklace from the shop of Fred Leighton. Sandra Bullock glowed on the red carpet. The beauty of her dress was a natural attraction, specially when she emerged from the back to present an award. Angel Sanchez dressed Sandra with a navy dress. As far as Amy Adams, she wore a chocolate brown gown with ribbon by Carolina Herrera. Adams also borrowed Herrera's own aquamarine dangling earrings. High-end, Upscale Clothing Boutiques Offer California's Central Valley Residents New Shopping Experience Topic: Wishlistshopping As the Valley welcomes its new residents who are seeking a better and more affordable living standard, more space for their bucks, the needs to provide them with high-end boutiques increase. These new Bay Area or Southern California transplants want luxury in cars, clothes and homes. And they bring the big bucks from the sales of their homes. Flushed with cash, they want to spend on themselves and their kids. They want to find in the Central Valley the same type of shopping experience they left behind. Some of them have resorted to making weekly or monthly trips to the Bay Area, San Francisco and other high fashion destinations to be able to find the lastest trends in fashion. A large group of them don't want to lose out on their shopping experience. In fact, it is not uncommon for young women from the Valley to travel to Los Angeles or San Francisco to buy dresses, handbags and other accessories from stores that carry hard-to-find merchandise. Usually, they want to wear something unique. For those who can't travel, they shop at Target which is carrying some nice clothing brands appealing to the young crowd. They also shop at Mervyn's, JCPenny, Macy's Khol's stores, Federated Departments, Chicos, Marshalls, Sears, Gottschalks and a a collection of stores at Fashion Fair Mall. The chance of running into somebody else wearing the same dress at a social event increases. No wonder that It's clear that these new residents or "equity refugees" have forced investors and marketers to take a look at them. These new people want everything. Their list of needs ranges from A to Z. Home Depot provides them with materials with which their homes got built. Lowe's helps them maintain and furnish these hot homes mushrooming the disappearing orchards.
